Joseph's Closet

"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat"

(Matthew 25:35)

Joseph's Closet is a ministry at Eastside where food items are collected for distribution to those in our community that are in need of a helping hand.
Available food items generally consist of canned and dried goods as well as some frozen foods.  We try to have on hand foods that can be prepared by those who lack and utensils cooking facilities.
Donations of food items and other basic necessity items are always welcome.
Currently there is not a set time that Joseph's closet is open, so if you are in need of food, or know of someone who is, please call the church office and leave a message. (503 252 9150).

The Clothing Tree

We collect used clothing and household goods and distribute them to those in our community with needs.
In the church there is a room dedicated to "The Clothing Tree", making "shopping" easy and fun.
There is never a charge for any of the items distributed here.
Children's clothing and small appliances are always in demand for our neighbors starting new households.  So, clean out the garage, attic or basement and bless a new friend with a gift from your house to theirs.
Currently there are no standard "store" hours, so contact the church if you are in need of items, or have items to contribute.503 252 9150

Children's Ministries

Our children are a very important part of the ministries done at Eastside. Nursery and Sunday School programs are provided during worship services weekly. In addition to that we have an Awana's program along with VBS and other child and youth oriented events througout the year.

Bible Study

There are a variety of bible study groups available at Eastside, one to fit your particular need or interest. While most are held here at the church, a few are held in various locations, catering to the needs of those who attend.

Becoming more knowledgeable of the bible and understanding it's teachings help to make us better guides for those seeking the kingdom.

Reading and discussing the passages encourages us to look deeper into the stories and lessons, so we often come away with new insights and perspectives.
